Free Fall Measure V1.0 is used to measure the falling distance of an object dropped on Earth. The height is calculated from the equation h=1/2gt2 , which gravity g is equal to 9.80665, and the app will take the time measure for the equation. The calculation will provide both Metric and Imperial measure units.
Besides the simply mode by pressing START/ STOP button, App also used the Proximity Sensor of your iPhone to detect the object start falling. To activate the time measure, you just simply to hold the object in front of the phone’s screen, the time measure will take automatically.
Besides the proximity sensor be used to deactivate the time measure, App also take the higher sound level as another trigger point. Once the falling object reached the bottom/ground, user can use either method to stop the time measure.
Deactivate time measure By:
Proximity Sensor - simply to block the screen by hand.
Higher Sound Level - Say a word like “STOP”, “HALT” in louder.
Remarks:
1.When you release the object, the screen will not turn on immediately, but the sensor has already detected the object fall and the timer has started either. Only the screen respond slower.
2.Beware of the background noise will influence your time measure, you can turn off the microphone.
3.Due to the human reaction time is around 0.05-0.08s, it will caused a tolerance.
4.The air resistance of the falling object is another factor of the tolerance.
5.The accuracy of the time measure is 1/100s.
